Super Happy

Today was a rainy, dreary day outside, but my heart was full of warmth from spending a wonderful afternoon with Layla.

It started off with having a nice Pannekoek breakfast with some friends, then heading to Metropolis Metrotown for some Christmas shopping. Upon arriving, as we went up the escalators, Layla directed me to the ice cream truck. Hmmmm...it looks like she's been here before... She drove and took orders for ice cream, what a multi-tasker!

Then, as we headed to the other side of the mall, Layla spotted the giant rocking horse. We watched for a bit, and then she asked for a ride. I was surprised that she wasn't afraid, and since there wasn't a line up, and it was for charity, I said yes. It was really fun! I'm glad she talked me into it.

We continued walking, and we saw the Metropolis Express train go by us. Again, Layla asked if she could ride it. Luckily for her, there was no line up, and again, it was for charity, so why not? Choo choo!

After being so patient in the stores, Layla got to indulge in a kiddie cone. She was very thoughtful, and even offered me some of her cone. Thank you, sweetie!

As we headed towards the car, Layla noticed a water fountain. She was really excited, and wanted to see where the water was coming from, and where it was going. She surprised me again, by asking if she could make a wish at the fountain. Had she done this before, or seen it on tv? She made two wishes... I wonder if she wished for more days like today?

Layla, you make my heart feel super happy!
