Good-bye Winnipeg! We had fun visiting the Peg where most of Len's extended family lives. It was our first family vacation, and we were really excited to see everyone.
This trip was about visiting family, so there was a lot of eating and catching up. On the trip, one day we went swimming at the community pool with the cousins. On Father's Day, we went to a BBQ at Len's Aunt Sanny and Uncle Paul's place, and the kids played in a really cool inflatable pool on the deck.
Layla was so happy that she could wake up and play with Megan everyday. Every morning, she would wake up and ask where she was. And she understood that we were away from home, because when we were driving, she would ask to go back to Megan's house.
Layla also enjoyed playing with Asia, she looked up to her and wanted to do everything she did. They had a great time playing hide and seek, and looking at gum underneath the table at the restaurant.
Len's grandparents, Grandma Lam, Grandma and Grandpa Wong, were thrilled that they could finally meet Layla and Adelyn. We were glad to see everyone so happy.
I was really lucky that the girls slept pretty well there, even with the time difference and different sleeping arrangements. We all slept in the same room, and it worked out well. Naps were here and there, and squeezed in during car rides.
Overall, the plane rides went better than expected. There was some crying when we were descending on the way there, and on the way back there was no crying at all. Phew! Layla even figured out how to use the earphones and enjoyed watching some of her favourite cartoons on Treehouse.
We miss everyone in Winnipeg!
Thanks for spoiling us with your kindness and generosity!
We had a wonderful trip!
