Happy Canada Day!

It was a wet and drizzling morning, but we made it out to Burnaby Village Museum to take part in the 2010 Canada Day celebrations. It was great that the Chin family and the Tan-Ng family were able to join us in the festivities.

It was a very family oriented event with lots of things for the kids to see and do. We toured through a farm house, and lined up for some balloon sculptures. Sofia was a sport, she was patient enough to get her face painted.

.
Although it was a bit of a wait, the kids really enjoyed the carousel ride, even the big kids. Layla was hesitant to get on, but when the ride was over she didn't want to get off.

It was very nice of Isabel to share her cotton candy with Layla. So, Layla enjoyed her first taste of cotton candy, exclaiming "it's tasty!"

Before we left, Layla had a chance to check out the Canada geese at Deer Lake. What a fun way to celebrate Canada Day, by stepping back in time.
