A little early for Christmas, but our girls just couldn't wait to set up our tree. Last week, Len put up the lights, and the girls were so happy. Since then, Layla has been asking about setting up the tree. We pulled out our Christmas decorations, and decked out our home with holiday cheer.

It's Tree Time!

It's Snowing!
It snowed inside my home today. Maybe the girls were too excited that we had snow outside, and they had to bring it indoors?!?!
This happened before dinner. Adelyn had pulled tissue out of a box, and Layla started shredding some napkins on the counter. I got Layla to stop, but Adelyn kept pulling the tissue of the box three times! After her punishment for not listening, she stopped. I left the mess to cook dinner, and heard the girls laughing and throwing the paper in the air. The girls had a great time playing in the "snow," then I had them it clean up, and put it all in a bag before dinner. Looks like we'll have another snow day soon.
Snowmen Alert!
Two snowmen were born this morning! Layla and Adelyn couldn't wait to go outside! The snow was slushy and wet, so it was perfect for rolling into snowballs. We had to use almost all the snow from our front yard to create our snowmen. We even brought some smiles from some local neighbours passing by. Good times! Now time for some warm milk to warm our fingers and toes!

Layla's First Haircut
I feel like Layla is growing up so fast, and so is her hair! When she was born, she barely had any hair, strangers thought she was a boy, even if she was decked out in pink. Now, it's grown to the middle of her back! But it's time to say goodbye to braids and pigtails, her hair gets very tangled after it's washed and when she wakes up in the morning, and split ends were starting. I was afraid Layla was going to get upset, but to my surprise she was happy. She was happy to see the pain of tangles disappear, and embraced her new look. Thank you Grandma Lam for your salon services, Layla looks so cute in her new haircut!

(I wanted to add that Layla has had numerous trims to her bangs, but it's the first time for her hair in the back.)

More Soup Please!
Adelyn really enjoyed her lunch today. She had three helpings of creamed corn soup, it was funny to see her ditch the spoon after the first two helpings, and pick up the bowl and just slurp it down. Adelyn can be picky when it comes to food, so it's great to watch her enjoy a meal. Her belly was so big afterwards!

"Ding-A-Ling!!"
"It's time for school!" calls Layla.
"Jeh Jeh, I'm coming!" Adelyn replies back.
I hear the pitter-patter of feet running. Layla and Adelyn are playing school upstairs. I love how they can entertain and play with each other. Layla still likes to direct the play, and Adelyn loves to follow and listen to her big sister.
I went upstairs to check on them, and this is what I saw in Layla's room...

My Little Tricker Treaters
My little fairies had so much fun last night. We didn't go very far, up and down our street and around the corner, about an hour before Layla said she was tired. Uncle Mitch came over to walk with us, and Auntie Sandra stayed at our place to give out treats. The girls came home with lots of yummy treats. Layla chose to eat a chocolate eye ball, Smarties and some fruit gummies. Adelyn chose a Kit Kat, Smarties, and a Reese peanut butter cup. After a full tummy of sweets and a good brush, the girls fell fast asleep.
