Addy's New Look at 15 Months

Adelyn is sporting a new haircut! Len wanted to grow out Adelyn's bangs, but yesterday, I took the scissors, and snip, snip, done! I was a little nervous, and they are a little shorter than I had planned for, but it's done. No more hair poking into her eyes. Layla's hair was always been cut by Grandma Lam, and now Adelyn can match her :)

Yaay!!! Adelyn has starting to walk by herself. She took her first steps on Dec. 17th, and she has been slowly taking more and more steps. She likes to walk on the carpet upstairs, and will only do it when there is no pressure. If you ask her to walk by herself, she will get upset and refuse, even if you are holding something that she really wants. The furthest I've seen, was when she walked from the bedroom to the bathroom. She is starting to take more risks and steps have been taken here and there, so watch out! Adelyn is on the move!

On the potty front, Adelyn is still pretty good at telling us when she needs to do her stinky business, but it's harder to catch the pees. Layla didn't really pick up that skill until after she was two, so I won't be pushing it. We are super lucky if can we catch one or two.

Adelyn's vocabulary is definitely growing, and with a big sister to boss her around, she is starting to pick it up. Adelyn still likes Row, Row, Row, Your Boat, and she has started to sing along to Baby Beluga and the Alphabet Song. And, with Christmas music in the car, she also likes to sing along to Deck the Halls, she is very good at the "Fa, la, la, la, la" part.

Adelyn's new favourite word is "share." She will say it when Layla takes something away from her or sees that she has something that she wants. I guess it's because we say it to the girls ALL the time.

Adelyn's eating habits are getting picky, and she uses the word, "more" for asking for more of the things that she does like. She still really enjoys blueberries, and can often be seen double-fisting them, but it's okay, because she really likes to share too. If you ask, she will share.
