A Winnipeg Wedding Weekend

Len and I were fortunate to go on a little get-away to Las Vegas for two nights. And when we returned, we flew out the next morning with our girls to Winnipeg for Len's cousin, Katy's wedding. It was a quick four day trip to the Peg, but it was worth every moment.

Katy and Mike's wedding was beautiful and elegant. We were so honoured to be there to witness the joyous occasion. The ceremony was at Assiniboine Park in the Conservatory, followed by the dinner reception in the adjoining restaurant. Everything was so romantic and breathtaking.

We were able to squeeze in a visit to the Winnipeg Zoo this trip. The zoo was pretty big, with lots of animals to see. We saw leopards, monkeys, peacocks, camels, prairie dogs, lions, and tigers. The girls had so much fun, we can't wait to go back.

Layla amazed us one night after dinner with Len's grandparents. As we were getting ready to leave, Layla went over to the claw machine filled with toys. She started grabbing on the joy stick, and Tina's friend, David put some coins into the machine. Len was going to help her play, but she insisted on doing it by herself. And on her second try, Layla won! She won a brightly coloured dog. What a lucky girl!

The best part of the trip was just spending some time with family. It was really fun just to hang out and catch up with all the relatives. And seeing the joy, the girls brought to their great grandparents was priceless. We wish we could spend more time with everyone.

Visiting Winnipeg is always a treat, and we always look forward to our next trip back. A big thank you hug to Will and Candra for letting us stay at their place again. Thanks for having us, and treating us like royalty!

We miss you all ready!!!
