Easter Smiles
The girls woke up to an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday. Layla and Adelyn really enjoyed looking for the eggs, and every time they found one they were super excited than the egg before. Looks like there will be plenty of chocolate at our house for a while.

Adelyn's Update
Adelyn is 2.5 years old, and she'll be starting preschool this September. Already!?!?!
She is a sweet girl, full of smiles and bursting with songs, but if she doesn't like it her way, well... she is very good at turning on the tears, and crying at the top of her lungs, and sometimes swatting. And, she has a magical switch of turning off instantly when she wants to. Adelyn is not shy about it either, I've been in a stand off with her in Walmart, and carried her off crying because she didn't want to leave, and there have been a few incidents at restaurants. It looks like the terrible twos have started to creep in.
Adelyn is very much like her sister, she likes to sing and perform. Sometimes, she'll make up her own words and think it's super funny, and laugh, and laugh, and laugh. For example, she thought it was hallarious, when she sang, "Mary had a little skunk!" She couldn't stop laughing, I love those times.
Adelyn is very interested in puzzles, they can keep her busy, and she's so happy when she finishes. She can easily finish a 24 piece puzzle on her own. She also likes puzzles on the iPad, and wooden puzzle trays.
On the potty front, Adelyn is still in diapers. She is better, and we have tried days with just underwear at home. She has even surprised me with going on the potty by herself. She can go with a dry pull-up for most of the day, but when she's caught up in something, she can forget and have an accident. It looks like it's improving, so I'm crossing my fingers to have her out of diapers in a few months.
Adelyn likes to climb and bounce. She also likes being chased, but there is one thing that she just hasn't mastered. Jumping. She doesn't know how to jump off the ground with her feet together. She thinks that she can jump, and she'll say, "Look at me, Mommy!" but she's half skipping, galloping, on her tippy-toes. We've tried holding her hands, and telling her to jump, but she ends up on her tippy toes, or just one foot. Silly girl, we have to get you on a trampoline!
Adelyn definitely brings happiness and smiles when she steps into a room. Her little body is always bopping up and down, and you just can't help but join her. We love you Mui Mui!

Layla's Birthday Splash
Another year, another pool party :) Layla had a great time splashing with her friends on St. Patty's Day, she didn't want to leave the pool! This year, we managed a longer game of Fishy in the Middle too. Afterwards, we stuffed our faces with snacks, and pink cupcakes. After all the party balloons were cleared out of the room, we went to a family party at Poh Poh's house. Layla definitely had a full day of feeling special and loved.

Happy Birthday to You!!!
Thanks for coming!
Thanks for celebrating with us!
- Layla LOVES crafts, anything that requires cutting, painting, pasting, and drawing keeps her happy, although she doesn't have patience to colour pictures
- She also enjoys dot-to-dot and mazes, so an activity book will also keep her busy
- Layla likes to play house with her sister, build forts, set up cars and drive to places, and play on the toy piano and perform songs
- Layla likes to help with baking treats in the kitchen, she likes to dump the ingredients into the bowl, mix, roll out dough, cut out cookies and put cupcake liners into the tray
- Layla seems to be doing well in preschool, she is working on numbers #14-20, sounds of letters, and can sound out simple three letter words
Layla is not a big fan of going grocery shopping, but if shopping involves going to the mall, visiting the play area & her favourite toy stores, going on train rides, and getting treats, she is in
- Overall, she is still the spunky, outgoing, happy big girl, and we love her, big bear hugs!
It's hard to keep track of Layla's development now, here are some that I can think of:
Happy 4th Birthday, Big Girl Layla! We love you!

Playing House
Here are some pictures of the girls playing their favourite past time, house. They love it! They even have their own car. They open the kitchen cabinets, and push some chairs in between, and off they go...
Fun on Bikes
Today, we got to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. Len set up the girls' ride on bikes that they got for Christmas. The girls got to try out their new rides around the neighbour school.
