In to the Greater Vancouver Zoo that is. On Monday, we thought it would be fun to take the girls to see some animals. So, we packed up the car, and headed to Aldergrove. The weather was perfect! It wasn't too hot, so we got to see a lot of animals out and about.

After catching the cool Birds of Prey show, we had a picnic lunch and watched the lion feeding.

The petting zoo was closed, but the girls had fun admiring the turkey, roosters, and goats.
Choo choo! We took a train ride around the zoo!

It was cool to see peacocks just roaming around the zoo freely, they were beautiful.

We were lucky to catch the alligator feeding when we went into the Vivarium (the world of lizards, frogs, snakes, bugs, and other small animals).

The girls did a lot of walking, and sitting in the stroller.
We went on a 20 min bus tour to see bears, elks, coyotes, and we were lucky enough to see all of them because it was feeding time.
The girls enjoyed the huge kids playground, their favourite thing was the red slide.

After the zoo, we were so close to the US border, we decided to go to Bellingham. The kids napped in the car, and when they woke up, they got to stretch their legs in the play area of the mall.

After dinner at the Olive Garden, and a quick stop at Costco, we headed home.
On the ride home, we heard the girls laughing and giggling.... We turned around to find..... the girls had taken off their shoes, and put their socks (the ones that they had been wearing all day!) on their hands!!! and smelling them!!! Silly girls!
WOW, what a fun and jam-packed day!
