Tired from all the fun...

Summer is off to a great start!

Fun Under the Sun

Yesterday, we had a FULL day of fun.  We went to the Klahowya Village in Stanley Park for a picnic lunch, and rode the Spirit Catcher Miniture Train four times!  We sat in the front, middle, back, and got the full experience of the Legend of the Sasquatch from every angle!

After the train rides, we went to 2nd Beach with our beach toys for an afternoon of sun in the sand.  The girls loved playing in the sand.  Layla enjoyed building her sand castle, and picking up shells.  Adelyn liked walking in the water, and going on water runs with Daddy.  Adelyn also went with Daddy to pick up some icy cold popsicles for us to enjoy.  Perfect for a hot day!  Just before we left, the girls and I walked in the water, and Layla made some "sandballs" to throw in the water.

After the beach, we went to Phnom Penh for dinner to satisfy a craving of their famous crispy fried wings.  The ride home was quiet, and to my surprise the girls didn't take a nap.  In fact, when they got home they went biking with Daddy! Where is all this energy coming from!?!?  After their showers, and the usual bedtime routine, Mommy fell fast asleep.

Berry Fun!

On Monday, the girls enjoyed a day of strawberry picking at Krause Farms with the Browns.

Happy Happy Canada D'eh!

This year, Daddy was busy at the Iris booth at the big Canada celebration at Lake Lafarge.  We went with Mommy to visit him, and spent most of the day making crafts, eating, dancing and visiting all the wonderful events.  Auntie Zina and Marisa came out to join us too.  After a full day of activities, we went to Grandma Leong's for dinner, and back to the lake for fireworks with the Tan-Ngs.

Waiting...

Still waiting...

And waiting...
We were disappointed that night because someone had tampered with the set up, and after an hour and a half, the fireworks display had to be cancelled.  Boo!  The next day it was rainy, so we didn't get to see the fireworks.  Double boo!
